MRK T-34 has proven to be one of our most popular, best selling alfalfas! TY-2000's high leaf to stem ratio produces maximum tonnage, with the greatest possible protein level and feed value of any alfalfa we have tested. This exclusive MRK Brand Alfalfa is the highest yielding, the most disease resistant, and has the highest protein content of any alfalfa ever released by Mark Seed Company. Maximum tonnage potential is limited only by the individual's imagination and farming practices. With proper management, TY2000 should produce 3-5 cuttings per year. -MRK III BRAND ALFALFA-

If you're looking for big hay yields from problem soil or wet weather that inhibits successful growing conditions, MRK III is your answer. Where most alfalfas thin out or die when planted on poorly drained soil-or where phytophtora is a problem- MRK III alfalfa is capable of producing 4-5 cuttings per year and will last 3-6 years depending on your management practices. MRK III should be planted at 15-20 pounds per acre alone, or 12-15 pounds per acre with additional grasses or clovers.

-MRK IV BRAND ALFALFA-

MRK IV Alfalfa is a 2 year alfalfa blend including MRK III. MRK IV was developed for areas with varying soil types. By blending alfalfa, we can assure a good stand on most any type of ground. White MRK IV will not produce as much as MRK III, or TY2000, it will give you top quality hay for 2-4 years. MRK IV is an excellent alternative to any single alfalfa in its price range. Better yielding than straight vernal in areas tested, MRK IV is a good choice for a farmer wanting a 2 year alfalfa rotation or who plans to rotate out of the set aside program in a few years.

MRK Brand Forage Blends

MRK Forage Blend S-1 consists of 60% MRK II Red Clover, 25% MRK IV Alfalfa, 10% MRK Timothy, and 5% Alsike Clover for farmers who wish to have more clover stand than alfalfa in their pasture mix. An excellent choice for interseeding into an existing or for use as a hay crop.

MRK Forage Blend S-2 consists of 60% MRK IV Alfalfa, 25% MRK II Red Clover, leafy 10% Timothy, and 5% Alsike Clover. Excellent when combined with other grasses! Great green chop with maximum protein for a good overall hay production. Very versatile. Forage Blend S-2 has unlimited uses. May be used for hay or pasture.

MRK Forage Blend S-3 consists of 60% MRK III Alfalfa, 25% MRK II Red Clover, 10% leafy Timothy, and 5% Alsike clover. This is a "protein solver" forage blend. It's developed to give maximum production on poorly drained grasslands. We have formulated this blend in such a way as to ensure maximum feed, green chop or hay production for the highest possible feed value.

MRK Forage Blend S-4 consists of 60% MRK IV Alfalfa, 25% MRK Red Clover, 10% leafy Timothy and 5% Alsike clover. Developed for farmers looking for an excellent high feed 2-3 year hay, pasture mix, or green chop, with unlimited uses. You may want to interseed with existing alfalfa to get an extra 1-3 years of production.

MRK Grassland Products

MRK Brand Unigrass, a select formula of various grasses with diverse maturity and germination periods. These components reach production peaks at different times during the season, thereby maintaining a consistent balance of nutritional value during a feeding cycle. MRK Unigrass is unique as it is versatile, as it can be used as a companion crop or alone for production.

MRK Brand Timothy, developed to germinate quicker and grow faster than other certified varieties. MRK Timothy has shown superiority in its ability to combat diseases. Its winter hardiness gives MRK Timothy the ability to out-live most other Timothy. MRK Timothy is bushier and produces more leaves giving you a higher feed value.

MRK Brand Orchard Grass, the most winter hardy, disease resistant orchard grass tested. MRK Orchard grass was developed to be a late maturing, high feed value orchard grass especially designed to use in conjunction with alfalfa production. MRK Orchard grass has a smooth leaf for a higher palatability as livestock feed.

MRK II Brand Red Clover, a select blend of Red Clover varieties with exceptional disease and insect resistance and above average winter hardiness. MRK II Red Clover's varieties resist pathogens that stunt growth, thin stands and cause poor yields. MRK II Red Clover produces more hay or pasture the year of seeding, while producing two big crops the following year.

MRK Professional Turf Products

MRK Elite Lawn is a blend of the best new proprietary blue grasses available. MRK Elite Lawn offers increased drought and disease tolerance to give your lawn and golf course "Green" plush quality year round. MRK Elite Lawn may be used for new seeding or reseeding.

MRK Shady Lawn is a mixture of bluegrass and creeping red fescue. Designed for low-light areas, MRK Shady Lawn produces a very fine blading grass. MRK Shady Lawn may be used for new seeding or reseeding.

MRK Newlawn contains a mixture of bluegrass, creeping red fescue, and annual ryegrass.  Newlawn has the advantage in a new seeding of quick take off due to the annual ryegrass. This rapid germination stabilizes the soil and shades the ground to promote germination of the other grasses in Newlawn. It is well suited for highed areas. Newlawn is recommended for new seeding and it's best suited to early Spring seeding in March.
